Katana & RZ 1
1100 Katana built for local enthusiast - see various page for bike pic - and RZ 250 for resto
Katana & RZ 2
Big 4 stroke and little 2 stroke from the same era. Guess which one was easiest to put back in the frame ?
RZ motor 1
The engine had receipts for top end rebuild and looked good up the ports. So the decision was made to strip the flaking paint and corrosion and just give it a cosmetic make over.
RZ motor 2
The engine after a full face lift. Looks like new, if not better
RZ motor 3
Great decision, the motor proved to be fine and a good runner
GSX 1100 EF Motor 1
The big old motor on this suzuki was leaking oil from the top end, low on compression and cosmetically rough.
GSX 1100 EF Motor 2
New paint on crankcases, wiseco pistons and rings with a rebore. Valves all re-cut. New gaskets and seals. Powder coated engine casings. Polished stainless steel bolts
GSX 1100 EF Motor 3
Back in the frame it looks great and goes hard as ever
ZXR 750 Motor 1
This water cooled motor had heavy corrosion around all the water fittings. Had a noisy camchain and top end. As always paint was rough
ZXR 750 Motor 2
New seals and o-rings fitted on all water fittings, new paint, new cam chain and valves re-shimmed. Good compression. Yet to be fired up and tested
ZXR 750 Motor 3
Looks great back in frame with exhaust downpipes heat proof powder coated
